Packing a Travel Kit

A travel kit will provide each child with his or her own sources of entertainment. Place several items in a bag and label it with the child’s name. A book, some paper and crayons for drawing, tic-tac-toe paper, puzzle books, a journal, playing cards, car bingo cards, a small disposable camera, a scrapbook for travel brochures, photos, etc., are some good ideas. Have the items be a surprise so the child will have fun discovering what’s inside. Let the child know that he or she is responsible for keeping their items in the bag and cleaning up their section of the car.
