Clapping

One person is the clapper. The clapper claps his (or her) hands either one time or two times. The other players raise their right arm if the clapper claps once and their left arm if the clapper claps twice. Whoever messes up is eliminated. The last person remaining is the winner and becomes the next clapper.

Mystery Writing

One person holds out their hand and the second person “writes” a word on it using his/her finger (or just a letter for younger kids). When the first person guesses the correct word, they get to be the next “writer.”

Clump

One person thinks of a number between one and ten and tells the other player the number. Then both players hold one hand behind their backs and prepare to hold out any number of fingers they choose. On the count of three, they show their fingers. If the fingers added together match the chosen number, then the game ends. Otherwise, put your hands behind your back and try again. This game can be played with any number of players--if you have more players, it’s actually more fun if you stick with low numbers (like between one and five).

Nose, Nose, Mouth

One person is the leader. He (or she) chants “nose, nose” and then names any other body part. When saying “nose, nose” the leader touches his nose twice, but as he says the third body part he touches any other part besides the one he is saying. The players need to follow his movements and not listen to his words. If someone messes up they are eliminated. The last person is the winner and gets to be the next leader.
